Verzollung meines Pferdes / Custom dues for my horse
§Kaufpreis Pferd
§Gebühren in Liege / Belgien
ØSonstige Kosten in Island
ØGebühren in Liege / Belgien
ØGESAMTEN Flugkosten
Ein Beispiel:
Kaufpreis in Island€ 1.500
Kosten in Island (Abholung vom Hof, Tierarzt, etc.)€ 150
Gebühren in Liege / Belgien (siehte auch „Import aus Liege“)€ 305
Flugkosten nach Liege / Billund GESAMT€ 800
Macht eine Summ von€ 2.755,-
aus der die 7% Umsatzsteuer bezahlt werden müssen
zu Bezahlende Einfuhrumsatzsteuer€ 192,85
Custom dues for my horse
A horse from Iceland has to be cleared and taxed.
ØThe first 100 horses imported in the new year get a subvention and are free of custom dues.
It depends on how many horses are going to be imported in the first days of the year. Some years mid January the contingent is full and some years mid February there are still vacancies. If you want to make sure you don’t have to pay custom dues you have to import your horse very early in January if possible within the first two flights.
ØFree of custom dues are only stud horses. You have to pay custom fees first but you will get them back afterwards. To import a stud horse it has to be registered at a stud association and has to be registered in the German stud book within 6 month.
Custom dues = 11,5 %
At the moment there are discussions going on that the import of “agricultural goods” (as horses are) from Iceland to the European community will generally be free of custom dues - but as long as no final decision is taken in this matter you have to pay.
Custom dues are 11,5 % on
Øpurchase price of the horse
Øtransport in Iceland
Øall other costs in Iceland
ØAWB (airwaybill) - partial to Billund or Liege (that means up to border air space)
Example:
price of the horse in Iceland€ 1.500,00
costs for transport in Iceland€ 80,00
all other costs in Iceland€ 100,00
AWB (airwaybill) Billund/Liege€ 560,00
(€ 800,00 - 70 % because of the air space)
________________
total amount for custom€ 2.240,00
11,5 % € 257,60custom dues
Attention
It is possible that despite of the free contingent you have to pay custom dues first as this contingent is centrally conducted. You will get your money back as soon as your application has been allowed. But nevertheless you have to check in at your custom office - no matter whether you have to pay custom dues or not - as in any case you have to pay purchase tax (EuSt = VAT) of 7 %. This 7 % tax you have to pay on

Øtotal AWB (airwaybill)
Example:
Price of the horse in Iceland€ 1.500,00
